Quaker Hardwoods Flooring opened in the spring of 1983, on a small farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. A man, a wood mizer and a mission is how it all got started. Now, Quaker Hardwoods Flooring is almost 4 decades stronger continuing in the same family with a different man, more machines and the same mission. And better yet, located on that same Bucks County farm!
In other words, Brian Devery passed on his family business to his Son-in-law, Chris Shaak. Don’t worry, Brian’s not going anywhere! He’s just living the retired life while getting to admire his 38 years of hard work carry on in good hands.
Chris may be the new guy, but he’s been working behind the scenes with Brian for years. He has over 20 years of experience owning and operating his own flooring installation and finishing businesses. Needless to say, the idea to continue Quaker Hardwoods Flooring grew on both Brian and Chris organically, the decision was a no-brainer and the transition from installation and finishing to manufacturing wood flooring was seamless. Chris brings knowledge of both sides of the business to help you make the best decision when choosing your wood flooring.
